Fat Biking in the snow on groomed trails is definitely the way to go when the snow gets deep.
This list of locations and events will be updated frequently to guide you to the best Winter Fat Biking opportunities in New England.
This is only a partial list of Fat Bike events and locations where some kind of grooming is going on. Due to Covid-19 there are fewer actual events. Hopefully, that will change as winter progresses.

Craftbury Outdoor Center (Craftsbury Fatbikes are allowed on select trails and singletrack under certain defined circumstances. Check website for details.

New Hampshire:
Highland Mountain Bike Park (Northfield NH) Will be open mostly on weekends subject to conditions.
Landmark / Boston Lot (Lebanon) Some trails are groomed.
Bear Brook State Park (Allenstown) Limted trail grooming.
PRKR Mountain Trails (Littleton NH) and Moore Dam groom their trails for fatbiking. Littleton Bicycles has a weekly Franconia Area NEMBA Fatbike Ride on Tuesdays. Here's the link to PRKR’s map of groomed trails.
Franconia Trails The Franconia Inn, the Horse and Hound Inn and the Hillwinds Lodge near Fox Park all have fatbike trails. Fat biking is permitted on snowshoe trails maintained around the Inns and on select Nordic ski trails.
Mount Washington Resort (Bretton Woods NH) will have groomed Fatbike trails as well as rentals all winter long.
Fernald Station & Wolfeboro (Wolfeboro) Fun groomed singetracks.
North Conway, NH. White Mountains NEMBA will be grooming some trails check their Facebook Page for updates.

Marshall Conservation Area (Conway)
Whitaker Woods, Conway NH is groomed by Mt Washington Valley Ski Touring and Snowshoe Foundation. Check their website for daily conditions and trail closures.
Gunstock Mountain Resort (Gilford NH) has 25km of cross country trails that are open to fatbikes, condition dependent. Please call 603-293-4341 ext 504 to be sure trails are set up for fatbiking.
Great Glen (Jackson NH) WInter Fat Biking daily all season long as conditions allow.

King Pine (Maddison) - Pass required
Central NH NEMBA will be grooming Franklin Falls Dam, Franklin, NH.
Southern NH NEMBA will be grooming a 4-5 mile loop at Bear Brook State Park near the hiker/biker lot when conditions allow, Allenstown, NH
Stratham Hill, in Stratham is grooming many of its trails as conditions allow.
Windham HIgh School grooms trails on its campus when conditions allow.
Fort Rock in New Hampshire is grooming some trails.
Bretton Woods (Bretton Woods) Some groomed fat bike trails fat bike rentals.
REI (North Conway) is renting E-Fat Bikes.
East SIde Trails (North Conway) Frequent grooming as the snow accumulates.
Hollis Trails (Hollis & Brookline) Groomed frequently during Fat Bike season and also work with the Brookline IceBreakers in the neighboring town.

Maine:
Carrabassett Valley ME, Carrabassett Region NEMBA grooms the trails off the Narrow Gauge Trail while the town grooms the Narrow Gague Trail itself. Sugarloaf has one loop available at the Outdoor Center. There are some Winetr-Only Trails being groomed. Look for updates on the CRNEMBA Facebook Page Maine Huts & Trails has an extensive system of Nordic and Fat Bike trails, but have a limited grooming budget this year. Mahoosuc Pathways, Bethel maintains groomed Fat Bike trails.
Bradley Mountain State Park, Pownel Grooms trails for Fat Biking.
Midcoast Maine NEMBA will be grooming trails at the Thomaston Town Forest (Booker St trailhead) and in the Ragged Mountain Preserve, accessed from the Camden Snow Bowl and Hope St in Rockport.
SIx Rivers NEMBA will be grooming, Topsham Ponds in Topsham and Lilly Pond in Bath when conditions allow.

Quarry Road (Waterville) Pass required check to see when bikes are allowed.
Gorham/Portland Greater Portland NEMBA grooms selected trails.

Bradbury Mountain (Freeport) Lots of trails sometimes groomed on the east side.
Six Rivers NEMBA is grooming in South Bath.

1/29/23 Fat Bike Loppet (Rangeley)
Massachusetts:
SE MA NEMBA and the Friends of Wompatuck State Park will be grooming for Fatbikes during the snow season.
When there's snow down on old Cape Cod, CC NEMBA alternates between fat biking on trails and fat biking on the beach.
Winnekenni Park in Haverhill has groomed Fatbike Trails and has been covered in the local newspaper.
Willowdale SP (Ipswich) Some trails may be groomed, but they see a lot of winter fat bikers.
Canal Trails (Belchertown) Good mix of trails, great for fatbiking as most are pretty flat.
North Shore NEMBA will be grooming with Snow Dogs at Harold Parker State Forest and Willowdale State Forest when conditions allow.
Russell Mill (Chelmsford) Not groomed, but the trails get a lot of use.
Sawmill Hills (Northampton) Not groomed, but some very fun trails ehen they are packed.
Stump Sprouts (Hawley) Ski touring center with fatbiking.
Merrimack Valley NEMBA is grooming trails at Russell Mill in Chelmsford when conditions allow. Check in with their Facebook Page for updates.
Pittsfield State Forest (Pittsfield) Many of the flow trails near the parking lot are groomed.
Prospect Hill Park, Waltham doesn't groom but hundreds of hikers, snowshoers and Nordic skiers pack the trails perfectly for fat biking.
Lind Farm in Norfolk is being groomed by SE MA NEMBA Members intermittently when conditions allow.
Northfield Mountain in Northfield is grooming when conditions allow.
West Hill Dam (Uxbridge) is being groomed by Blackstone Valley NEMBA and their trusty Snow Dog, Crank.
