White Mountain Team Ride

I plan great rides.  Everyone loves them…except for me.  I make it a point to in no way take into account my fitness or the time of year when I map things out.  I also like to ignore the length of the rides I have gotten in up to date.

My lack of caring about things like that keeps me awesome.

Myself, Art, Bully, Carl, and Andrew were in attendance from the team and we also invited Ryan LaRocque to give us some pushes up the really big hills.  We set right to ignoring century pace and got AFTER IT. Averaged 20+ over the first 30mi mostly rolling terrain heading into Gorham.  Then things got a bit sideways for me and I have already put my ‘race amnesia’ into full effect so things are already getting a bit hazy on the details.  Suffice it to say I crushed my own soul in my journey for greatness.

You might be able to find a few details here but probably mostly just gibberish.  Ya’ll should come out next year, I promise I’ll plan a ride you’ll love (and I’ll hate).

  1. Sorry you had a tough day out there today. It was a great route! I am pretty beat now but enjoyed every minute of riding. I just didn’t enjoy the massive headwind. I am really glad that I made the trip up.

  2. If I’m gonna have a tough day I might as well do it cruising the Whites! Wasn’t so much epic suffering just a total lack of power after 60mi. If I kept it slow and low I was fine though. If there is one thing I’ve learned over these last few years its how to deal with days like that.

Nice views to look at help.

  3. Frequently I find myself less than enthusiastic when the temps are around freezing, and winds are 15-25 mph out of the NW. However anything in the whites is a challenge and always worth doing. As always I finished the ride with a feeling of accomplishment. Kevin we’ve all been there man! You still are “AWESOME” thanks for planning the ride. It was a nice course for April.
