The Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum Epic Summer Event was a slog almost as long as it’s name. The week leading up to the race brought endless rain to ensure that the course was fully saturated for the event. There was more than just a little mud to be found in the woods. My daughter, Emma, and I were the only two NEMBA racers in attendance but we both managed to take second place in our fields. We had great weather for the day of the race and I got to have some stitches afterwards. You can read more about it on my blog or MTBVT.com.
