While the Hampshire 100 was going on, we were also racing over at the Millstone Grind in Vermont. There were only two NEMBA racing team members there: Mark Horvath and myself, Mark Tucker. If you’ve ever ridden at Millstone, you know that the terrain isn’t very hilly but is unrelenting and technical. We had perfect weather and course conditions for the day.
I took 3rd place in the Single-Speed Marathon race in spite of my cramping and insect attacks. Mark Horvath came in 6th in the Cat. 2 50+ field. Also, the NEMBA tent mysteriously appeared at the event. I hope it find its way down to Treasure Valley Rally this weekend.
